The UN Secretary General, António Guterres, has demanded a timely reform and power shift in the Security Council because it is incapacitated by the violation of international law by the major powers. On issues of utmost importance in the world, Guterres stressed the importance of ending the violence by Israel in Gaza and the West Bank as well as a two-state solution. Guterres also demanded an end to the crisis in Ukraine in order to prevent serious economic consequences on the international scene.
